REP will offer a limited number of registration waivers ($150) and\u00a0travel grants to students ($250) in support of attendance.\u00a0Preference will be given to applicants who are traveling from outside of the Central Texas region.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Eligibility:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submission of cover letter explaining need for travel support;<\/li>\n<li>Submission of an extended abstract not exceeding 1,000 words summarizing research to be presented at REP Austin 2018;<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0All awardees must provide a home address (necessary for REP funding reporting obligations)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0US awardees must supply a US social security number to the REP Treasurer before receiving the award (necessary for REP funding reporting obligations).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Guidelines:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Extended abstracts (less than 1,000 words) will be evaluated on criteria including but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coherent research question situated in relevant theoretical or conceptual literature;<\/li>\n<li>Clearly described research design;<\/li>\n<li>Cogent description of results or findings;<\/li>\n<li>Compelling discussion of results or findings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A selection committee will review all applications and make a recommendation to the committee chair. Awardees will be notified by August 31, 2018. The award winners will be recognized at the closing gala dinner and on the REP website.<\/p>\n<p>If you are selected for the Student Travel\u00a0Award, your registration will be refunded in full without any processing fees or penalties and you will receive a $250 travel reimbursement stipend at the completion of the conference<\/p>\n<p>All applications should be submitted using the form below no later than August 1, 2018 and should include the following items:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>All the information required on the form below<\/li>\n<li>Cover letter<\/li>\n<li>An extended abstract of fewer than 1,000 words.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once you submit your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with all the details of your application.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Applications are now closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Student Registration and\u00a0Travel Grants Deadline: August 1, 2018 The REP Conference Board invites applications for the 2018 REP Conference Travel Awards to support student travel to the IX REP in Austin, TX.
